The Geek Show 85: The Return

After a bit of a break, The Geek Show makes its triumphant return. That return, however, is not with the usual awesome two-some. With Mike’s ridiculously-busy schedule not yet allowing him the time to get back on the mic, Andrew has brought in his Ring the Bell co-host Ross to fill in. Don’t worry though listeners, Mike WILL be back soon.

We promise.

On this show, however, we will be talking about;

  • Suicide Squad and what we thought of it
  • Marvel and DC news
  • The Rock is the busiest man in the world
  • And much more…

Thank you for listening and we hope you’ve enjoyed this episode.

The Geek Show Episode 82: UNDEROOS!

Our heroes are back, and much sooner than expected. The reason for this podcast so quickly after the last? The emergence of a certain web-slinger in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.

That’s right kids, the final trailer for Captain America: Civil War has finally been released and Marvel is not holding back on anything. Explosions, friends turned enemies, comic book references galore and the reveal that we’ve waiting EIGHT YEARS for. The Geeks are excited, unsurprisingly, so sit back and listen to them ramble on about Cap vs. Stark. Topics and tangents include:

  • A detailed look at the new trailer
  • The easter eggs are hidden within and nods to previous movies
  • The big reveals
  • No mention whatsoever of Batman vs Superman, honest.
  • And much more…

Thank you for listening and we hope you’ve enjoyed this episode.

The Geek Show Episode 81.5: Return To Film & Comic Con Bournemouth

This week our heroes ditched their darkened recording cupboards for the light-filled human world, on a special road trip to Showmasters Film & Comic Con Bournemouth.

Following on from a successful trip to the same event back in September 2015, The Geek Show took to the halls of the Bournemouth International Centre for what is quickly becoming a must-attend south coast event.

With more than twice the open-space of the last event, there was a fantastic array of vendors, guests, cosplays and celebrity talks, with a highlight for The Geek Show guys being the attendance of Red Dwarf legends, Danny John Jules and Hattie Hayridge. With Knightrider’s KITT and the Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine also at the event, our heroes were in their element.

In this episode, the dynamic duo takes a look back at the event, including their key highlights and look forward to their next big day out. For more information on the event, visit the official website.
